You’ll be able to do anything those commercial casting directors ask of you. Stretch your abilities and have some fun! You know the phrase, "you are enough"? Now, you can chew that expression up and spit it out with the rest of the scenery! Through improvisational techniques and character development exercises, you'll create larger-than-life characters that are perfect for sketch comedy.

In this 8-week workshop, you'll develop "stock" characters you can plug into any situation. Expanding on the exercises and techniques learned in Intro to Sketch, you will get to explore the origins of comedy with an emphasis on scene work.

Build your confidence and willingness to take big risks, expand your improv & audition skills, think on your feet to create instant characters and polish your comedic timing.

The class works in conjunction with the Advanced Writers' Workshop to create a live Sketch Comedy showcase, publicized and performed for two consecutive evenings on the Sketchworks Stage. Members of the advanced class are the first to be utilized when there is a need for additional mainstage cast.
