Over the past decade, Brian has appeared in several feature films, learning from such notables as Mickey Rooney, Billy Dee Williams, and Brad Dourif. You may recognize him from the famous cult film Pumpkinhead, or maybe Killer Next Door, which is now playing on the Mystery Channel. Most recently he appeared in the films Stroke of Genius and Dead Birds. Brian has worked in network television, and has also done lots of commercials and voice overs. For the past four years he has been a member of the Accidental Comics, the improv comedy branch of Seven Course Theater. Performing nationwide, the troupe entertains diverse audiences with improvisational, character-driven comedy. As well as writing and acting in Sketchworks, Brian now teaches Acting In Sketch Comedy at yourACT On-Camera Acting Classes. Brian is a co-producer for Sketchworks. | [top of page] | Jeffrey Charlton
Jeffrey was cast in the NBC pilot "A Father's Homecoming" (1988) starring Michael McKean ("Laverne and Shirley") and the acting bug bit him right in the tush, lower left side. Ouch! Since then he has appeared in thousands of films such as The Killer Next Door starring Billy Dee Williams and Danica McKellar (Winnie of "The Wonder Years"), Consenting Adults with Kevin Spacey and Kevin Klein, and the ultra-sweet horror flick Dumpster Baby. Watch for his sketch comedy appearance this fall in "The Tom Joyner Show" on ABC. Jeffrey also earns his keep as a freelance photographer. www.jeddyphoto.com "LOOK AT IT!!!" | [top of page] | Kelly Delaney
2006 looks to be a great and challenging year for Kelly. Having recently reconnected to Atlanta by moving back inside the perimeter (wahooo!!!) she looks forward to what Hotlanta will put on her plate over the next year. Now, if she could just grow and inch or two. To the Sketchworks family for all their support, to the ladies of GLOC, to the Holcombs, the McGuires, my family and all my friends... ALL of my love and thanks for being part of my life. | [top of page] | Dave Deutschle
Dave has performed in various plays throughout the Atlanta area with different theatre production companies, such as: Cyrano at 14th St. Playhouse, Still Life with Iris with First Stage of Atlanta, and Summer and Smoke with Off Off Peachtree theatre. You may have caught a glimpse of him in a promo for Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network too! After performing in the last master class Sketchwork showcase, he is very happy to now be a part of Cirque Du Sketch. He is excited about the opportunity to work with such a talented group of people! It’s also pretty neat to be working with his wife, Julie. Awww… | [top of page] | Della Cole
Della has done some strange things in her life, but this is her favorite. A long time dream of doing sketch comedy with husband and co-producer Bob Harter collided with Jen Kelley's vision and came to life in the shape of Sketchworks. She loves playing off-the-wall characters like Agnes in "The Wedding Wake" performed recently at 14th Street Playhouse. Her more responsible characters include Stella in "Streetcar Named Desire" and Maria in "Twelfth Night" on the Alliance main stage. Currently the host of the weekly TV show, "Atlanta's Best New Homes," Della enjoys working in all areas of industry and has traveled the world entertaining military audiences in "Letters From the Front." She has appeared on "In the Heat Of The Night," "Savannah," and film credits include Door To Door and most recently The Adventures Of Ociee Nash. Another favorite of Della's is sharing her love of acting with her students at yourACT. Her son and big time favorite, Mike, keeps her from getting too serious. Della is a co-producer for Sketchworks. | [top of page] | Bob Harter
Bob is one of Atlanta's most respected actors, working frequently on-camera as well as on stage. He is also in demand as a voice-over artist, known for his many celebrity impressions—a favorite being a dead-on Jack Nicholson impersonation—and his multiple character voices (not counting the voices he hears in his head...). Bob's feature films include Simpatico with Jeff Bridges, Nick Nolte, and Sharon Stone, Stroke of Genius with James Caviezel, and he worked with respected director Michael Mann on The Insider. He appeared on the USA Network movie Web of Deceit, "Three's Company," "I'll Fly Away," "Savannah," and had a recurring role on TNN's "I-40 Paradise," as well as being a familiar face in commercials. Several years ago Bob was spotted in the hit sketch comedy show "Dark Night Theatre" and then was cast as co-star with Della Cole for three national tours of military bases. Now married, they are also co-founders and acting instructors at yourACT On-Camera Acting Classes. He is convinced that thinning grey hair is a sign of wisdom and maturity. Bob is a co-producer for Sketchworks. | [top of page] | Misty Harris Holcomb Misty began her acting career shortly after birth, when she began to do uncanny impersonations of the babies in the adjacent incubators. Always involved in drama, she spent her childhood and teen years on the stage performing in every local play that she could. She also forced family members and friends to endure hours of singing, dancing, and poetry recitation in her own personal backyard shows. A former TV news reporter and current Legislative Liaison for a state agency, she dreams of somehow being plucked away from her computer for a future life of acting. She thanks her parents for being lifelong fans of ‘The Misty Show’, her husband Jamie for his support, and the Sketchworks family for including her in this amazing adventure.
| [top of page] | Dwayne Jackson
Dwayne is an Atlanta transplant from Long Island, New York. He honed his comedic skills in the offices of some of the most notorious "Boiler Rooms" in New York City. Being a Stock Broker (by trade), but a comedian at heart, prompted him to venture into the world of stand-up comedy. Enter Sketchworks. They needed a person with his many talents and unique comedic skill sets, (funny black dude) and the rest is Hollywood history. | [top of page] | Jen Kelley
Once upon a time, Jen dreamed of growing up and becoming a brain surgeon. But as the years passed, it was clear that a low aptitude in math and science does not a doctor make. Instead she chose an alternative means of getting inside your head. As co-producer and brain donor to Sketchworks, Jen attempts to practice mind-numbing, thought-provoking sketch comedy because laughter is the best medicine, after all. And while writing sketch comedy isn't easy, it's not brain surgery. Thanks to the Universe and to Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Jen is a co-producer for Sketchworks. | [top of page] | Kaira Whitehead
Kaira is thrilled to join the Sketchworks family. She's been performing since she can remember, but discovered her passion for comedy while filming the 2006 Sundance film Somebodies, for which she earned a 'Thumbs Up Award' from film critic Roger Ebert for her leading comedic role. After taking the Advanced Sketch Comedy class with the one and only Brian Bremer, Kaira then slept with each and every member of the Sketchworks Cast and Crew to earn her place in the troupe. Talk about taking one for the team. Kaira's other live comedy credits include Peachtree Battle (Ansley Park Playhouse) and Cinderella Confidential (Theatre in the Square). On screen she has been featured nationally in House of Payne, Why Did I Get Married, One Missed Call, Wherever You Are, and Somebodies. | [top of page] | Austin McFarlane
Austin is a rare Atlanta native. Born and raised in Marietta, he remembers getting his first laugh by hitting the photographer at K-Mart in the head with a red ball at age 3. The other patrons in the store erupted in laughter and Austin has been hooked on performing comedy ever since. Austin wants to thank; his wife, Nicole who is his biggest fan, his mother, Kay who always supported him no matter what, and his father, Jim who's here in spirit, he always inspired Austin to laugh and then showed him how to make others laugh harder. | [top of page] | Sandi Scheier
Sandi will do almost anything for a laugh. She loves doing comedy and is pleased as pumpkin pie to be part of such a talented group which makes up Sketchworks. She is a local actor/writer AND psychology teacher so watch out...she could be silently diagnosing you! Her greatest love after acting is tennis so if you can't find her, look on a tennis court. | [top of page] | Julie Shaer
Julie has had the pleasure of being a part of two master Sketchworks classes and perform in the final showcases. She was thrilled to then take on the role of Assistant Director for the last master Sketchwork class! Yes- she loves to laugh and make people laugh but two of her other loves are tap dancing and singing. It’s such a treat for her to be a part of ‘Cirque Du Sketch’ and work with the amazingly talented Sketchworks team. It is also pretty cool to be able to perform alongside her husband, Dave. Awww… | [top of page] | Mike Stiles
Mike has appeared in several major films, such as the one when his family went to Disney World, and the one where he’s opening presents Christmas morning of 1973. Mike was in the very first Sketchworks show and was so traumatized by the experience he moved to Cincinnati for 3 years, but now he’s back for more labor-intensive, unpaid fun! His background is mostly in TV and radio, having been a television reporter and anchor in Columbia and Greenville, SC. He’s hosted radio morning shows in Austin, Raleigh, Cincinnati and the ATL…where every day is opening day! Since 1998, Mike’s also been writing and performing comedy bits for radio syndication that get sent all over the US and the world. His stuff goes over particularly well in Guam. In his spare time, Mike sits around wishing his headshot looked as good as Bob Harter’s. | [top of page] | Kim Wall
Kim would like to thank the Sketchworks gang for a wonderfully warm welcome into the SW family. (Wow! Blackmail really IS effective.) Kim’s introduction to sketch comedy was when the extremely talented Kenny Alfonso (From Prison Break & Americas Most Wanted) discovered her at a gas station. He talked her into playing with The Goods comedy troupe. She was bitten hard by the comedy bug and still suffers from the infection today. (The Sucofucolox prescription cream helps a lot.) Since there is no cure for comedy obsession she jumped booty first into Brilliant Brian Bremer’s stupendous Sketchworks masters class. This only fueled the flames of desire to hear the sounds of pee squirting laughter. She will do anything for it except make fun of the following:(RACE, RELIGION, POLITICS, SEX, RELATIONSHIPS, MEN, WOMEN, CHILDREN, ANIMALS, PLANTS, LIQUIDS, GASES, OR SOLIDS.) Everything else is fair game. |
