Technical & Support Crew

tech_daveDave Berry, Sound and Music Director
Dave is the sound designer/audio engineer for Sketchworks for going-on 6 years now.  Most of the sounds you'll hear during a show were handcrafted by Dave, from inane sound effects and original music to voice-overs (including the non-human sounding ones) that make their way into the nooks and crannies of the sketches and videos.  In addition to being a fly lead guitarist, Dave has produced literally hundreds of voice-over demos, done post audio and sound design for film as well as engineered, mixed and produced music for label release (his favorite being of the dark electronic variety).  So say "hi" to him or give him a dollar... or a wet willy... it gets lonely up there in the booth.

tech_jamesJames Jarrett, Lighting Design
James has been on every side of the stage, starting when he was six years old.   Experienced in acting, directing, writing, stunt rigging, and various other aspects of theatrical and movie production, James stumbled into Sketchworks a couple of years back and has been with them ever since.  From church programs as a child, to the stage production Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, to helping with tech on a Charlie Daniels’ concert in Berlin, Germany, to helping strap directors to vehicles for interior cab shots in movies, James has done a little bit of everything.  Jack of all trades, James immensely enjoys the opportunity of being a part of Sketchworks.

tech_robinRobin Henry, Writer, Performer, Stage Manager
Robin's first love has always been comedy. Well, actually it was Jerry Lewis, but, hey, close enough. A long-time journalist, she didn't find her true calling until she took a Sketchworks writing class and something funny happened. (She still can't believe it herself)  She currently writes for Sketchworks and serves as Stage Manager. And always points out that she likes her sketches like she likes her coffee.... you get the idea. And heck, if  things don't work out, she can always move to France, where good humor IS appreciated.

mike & paulaMike & Paula Schiavoni, Hospitality
We’d like to offer a special thank you to this "husband and wife team" for "taking your money, selling you tasty beverages, and making you feel good about it!" They’ve been with us from the beginning and their contributions to the effort have not gone unnoticed. Unless, of course, they don’t save the cast some tasty beverages for after the show... then there’s a severe flogging in the back parking lot. Also, our appreciation has nothing to do with the fact that Paula is Della’s lovely sister! Mike is nobody’s lovely sister... thank goodness. Good genes in that family, huh? [Chic Genes, of course]
