Advanced Sketch Comedy Writing

Coach John D. Babcock III
THE WRITER'S ROOM

Feel the excitement and thrill of "blank page to stage" with Sketchworks Comedy's Advanced Sketch Comedy Writing Class! This class provides students with the firsthand experience of writing for a sketch comedy show. Students will participate in a "writer's room" situation and given six (6) weeks to write sketches and news-spoof stories for a live show.

Sketches will be performed on stage during one of our upcoming mainstage sketch shows in October and January!

Graduates of this class are then invited to join our mainstage writers group and help develop sketches for future shows and video content.

SHOW DATES: Friday, Dec 16 and Saturday, Dec 17, 8pm

Open to students who have taken the Intro to Sketchworks Writing Class or have previously written for a Sketchworks show.

Are you a comedy writer, but haven’t taken the Intro to Sketchworks Writing Class? No problem. Just submit two samples of your comedy writing to be considered for the class. Please do not submit payment until you have received your confirmed invitation.
