John Buisman

On the 10th of December years ago, John Philip Buisman emerged from the woods of Saskatchewan with nothing but a half-eaten jar of Nutella and a rubber Chicken. Where he comes from is a mystery. When the Canadian police asked him his name, he responded with:
Kidding. (We think.)

John graduated Summa Cum Laude with his BA in Theatre in 2017 from the University of Georgia (that is actually a real detail of his life). He is completely OBSESSED with sketch comedy, and, as a result, has done a ton of shows with Sketchworks! John has worked in the Sketchworks summer camps for the past two summers, and will also be teaching the camps as lead instructor for this upcoming summer 2019. He has a passion for extracurricular education, and works in the sleepover program at the Georgia Aquarium.

John's previous theatre credits include "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged," "Skin of Our Teeth," "Machinal," and "ZOOM! POW! SMASH!" which premiered at the Atlanta Fringe Festival. His on-screen credits include film "34 Inches" and web series "Classy Suzette."

Kirsten Krehbiel

Kirsten Krehbiel was born and raised in small town Kansas. After graduating with a Performing Arts degree, she bounced around before settling down in Atlanta.

Kirsten did her master class with Sketchworks in 2016 and has done several shows with them since including:  “From Russia with Sketch”, “Love, Family, Mars”, and “Vape”. Kirsten worked as the assistant teacher in this years Sketchworks kids camps.

When she is not on stage, you can find her piddling around her house with her cat Dobby.

Tom von Dohlen

Tom originally hails from the hills of West Virginia, is a graduate of the University of Georgia, and is a current MFA candidate at SCAD. He's a face in the comedy community of Atlanta and is thrilled to be involved in another Sketchworks show! Recently he's competed with his improv team "Vibe Check" in the ATL Winter Improv League where they were finalists. He also plays Henry in "The Campaign", a D&D web series. Hope you enjoy the chuckles!

John D. Babcock

John's comedy career started when he wrote and performed sketches in his backyard for neighbors. John joined Sketchworks Comedy in January 2017 as a cast member of LAUGHTER REHAB.

In addition to writing and performing for Sketchworks, John writes murder mystery plays for Agatha's - A Taste of Mystery, The Mystery Café of Indianapolis, and Laughing Matters.  He also contributes on-air scripts to Turner Classic Movies - having  written for the late Robert Osborne, and currently for host Ben Mankiewicz.  And his play INDEPENDENT, about filmmaker John Cassavetes, was included in Essential Theatre's 2017 Summer Festival.

John is a loving and dedicated husband and father who drives a sensible car and has no pets.
