Advanced Sketch Comedy Acting

Take your theatre and sketch acting training to the next level. You’ll learn how to put on your own sketch comedy show, by literally putting on your own sketch comedy show!

This 8-week program will cover the following skills for live production: blocking, directing, stage management, tech, advertising, and more. Work with your classmates as an ensemble and develop a cohesive sketch show complete with blackout sketches, interstitial characters, and even a filmed sketch!

In a nutshell:
Learn the behind-the-scenes work for putting on a live production

Work as an ensemble to create a cohesive show

Write original blackout sketches and interstitial characters

Shoot a sketch video to be premiered at your show

Perform a TWO-NIGHT RUN of your show

Show dates: Fri, March 24 and Sat, March 25, 2023 - 8pm

Open to students who have taken the Level One Sketchworks Acting Class or have previously performed in a Sketchworks show.

Are you a comedy actor, but haven’t taken the Level 1 Sketchworks Acting Class? No problem. Just submit your headshot, resume, and comedy reel to classes@sketchworkscomedy.com to be considered for the class. Please do not submit payment until you have received your confirmed invitation.

Sanna Erica
Head Acting Coach

Sanna has always had a special place in her heart for Sketch Comedy. Growing up watching Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, All That, The Amanda Show, The Muppet Show, and even Sesame Street made her a big fan of sketches early on. Sanna has been performing and creating comedy for years, and enjoys performing sketch consistently with Sketchworks.

Sanna started acting professionally when she was 14 years old. She has been coaching acting since 2011, soon after she made the move to Atlanta, GA. Sanna loves teaching actors of all ages, and considers it a huge privilege to be able to teach every week! Along with Sketchworks, Sanna teaches acting for the camera at The Actor’s Scene in the greater Atlanta area.

She holds her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Azusa Pacific University, studying Theatre/Acting, Film, Screenwriting, and Animation. Sanna is currently working on her Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Brenau University. Sanna’s previous credits include Alloy Entertainment, Coca-Cola, Tyler Perry Studios, Hulu, and Netflix. Sanna is a member of SAG-AFTRA in good standing and is represented by Houghton Talent.

No refunds for shows. If you have an emergency, please let us know within 48 hours of show date for ticket purchased. We will exchange your ticket for a different date or hold for a different show, as long as seats are available.
